Joan has more than 30 years of experience as a financial advisor and business consultant. Her passion is helping business owners grow, protect, and harvest their wealth so they have the means to pursue and fulfill their dreams. The firm’s unique, multidisciplinary approach integrates her clients’ personal financial matters with their business planning issues.
Before establishing Business Wealth Solutions in 2003, Joan was associated with a Dallas-based mergers and acquisitions firm and was a practicing financial planner. Named by her peers as one of the Top Financial Advisors in D Magazine, her registered investment advisory (RIA) firm in Dallas was acquired in 2000 by a member of the Premier Client Division of Financial Network Investment Corporation. Prior to moving to Dallas in 1991, she was a partner in the Washington, D.C. RIA firm of Dennis M. Gurtz and Associates, which was acquired by IDS American Express in 1990.
